Central Illinois Youth Symphony

I have been conducting the Central Illinois Youth Symphony (CIYS) since the fall of 2024. Before that, I conducted the Central Illinois Concert Orchestra, a part of the same organization, Youth Music Illinois. CIYS is a full orchestra ensemble based in Peoria, IL that features the premiere young musical talent in the tri-county area of central Illinois. Over the years, I have conducted the following major works of orchestral repertoire with these amazing students:

• Overture to “William Tell” (Rossini)

• Javelin (Torke)

• Symphony No. 2 (Brahms)

• The Sorcerer’s Apprentice (Dukas)

I often premiere my own compositions with CICO:
